Does Bodog still accept US players?
June 29, 2011
It appears that, very quietly, Bodog has stopped accepting new poker players. There has been no official confirmation of this however, but speculation is widespread that they are no longer welcoming players from America.
With the temporary block on US players at Merge still in force, there are few rooms left open to the USA.
Luvin Poker,on the EverLeaf Gaming Network, and with a minimum limit of $20 by PicClub, is still open to American players.
Also, All In Poker which is on the Cake Poker Network, continues to welcome players from America. Their minimum deposit limits are $25 across all methods, with credit cards being the best option for the US.
Merge Network stops new US signups
June 15, 2011
All poker rooms on the Merge Gaming Network have stopped, temporarily, taking new players from the United States of America, starting from June 3rd.
This move is to allow the network catch up with the large influx of new American players that their poker rooms received in the wake of Black Friday. The number of player payment transactions almost doubled for this networks payment processors in the last few weeks and this has put pressure on the network.
We are told that this will only be temporary and that the temporary block on new American players will be lifted in four to six weeks.
Right now there are very few poker rooms that are accepting players from the US. Luvin Poker on the Everleaf Network is one that is actively looking for new US players.
